Disconnected order flow
Dine-in, pickup, and delivery orders needed a consistent path from the counter to the kitchen.

Restaurants
A custom restaurant POS that centralizes dine-in, pickup, and delivery orders with KOT workflows, billing, thermal printing, dues, expenses, and operational reporting.
The challenge
Restaurant orders, kitchen communication, table service, billing, payment tracking, invoices, and daily reporting depended on separate or manual steps. The team needed one reliable workflow that could coordinate staff across Windows and Android devices while keeping the owner in control of menu, floor, expenses, and revenue visibility.
Dine-in, pickup, and delivery orders needed a consistent path from the counter to the kitchen.
Payments, pending dues, printed bills, and end-of-day settlement required clearer control.
Menu changes, table status, kitchen progress, expenses, and reports were difficult to monitor together.
Design principle
One reliable operational record before more automation.
Our contribution
VedaTech designed and built a server-first restaurant POS with Flutter clients and a FastAPI and PostgreSQL backend. The delivered system connects ordering, table service, KOT printing, billing, dues, expenses, menu configuration, staff access, and owner reporting across Windows and Android devices.
Fast item search, category browsing, cart management, dine-in, pickup, delivery, hold, save, and checkout workflows.
Visual table states for availability, running orders, new bills, pending settlement, and flexible table movement.
Kitchen order tickets and service status help connect counter activity with food preparation.
Cash, UPI, card, and due payments with invoice history, pending recovery, and thermal printing support.
Central menu categories, item availability, CSV import, ordering rules, restaurant identity, tax, and printer configuration.
Role-aware access to revenue snapshots, paid bills, expenses, outstanding dues, and restaurant insights.
Before and after
A clear view of the operational transformation from fragmented legacy tracking into one connected working system.
Counter & orders
Dine-in, pickup, and delivery orders were handled through separate or manual steps.
Every order mode follows one searchable POS flow with saved tickets, holds, and checkout.
Kitchen operations
Order details relied on verbal or loosely coordinated handoffs to the kitchen.
KOT printing and kitchen status create a clear handoff from service staff to preparation.
Billing & settlement
Bills, payment modes, dues, and settlements required repeated manual tracking.
Payments, invoices, pending dues, and settlement history are controlled from the same system.
Menu & floor
Menu availability, categories, and table states were difficult to update consistently.
A central workspace manages menu items, category order, floor layout, and live table status.
Reports & access
Owners and staff had limited shared visibility into daily restaurant performance.
Role-aware dashboards connect revenue, bills, expenses, outstanding dues, and operational insights.
